Scottish Guitar Quartet in Wakefield

The Scottish Guitar Quartet will be performing at the Wakefield Jazz Club on the 24th of March.

They draw on celtic, modern, classical and jazz genres, with strong influences from world music, and blend these disparate styles together to produce an eclectic sound that is both unique and powerful with the textures and timbres of four acoustic guitars.

Doors are at 7.30pm and tickets cost 10 pounds; 8 pounds for concessions.

It was announced by Creative Imagery, Inc. that New York City has been chosen as the host home of the very first Jazz Awards telecast planned for November of 2006.

While few details of the show were revealed, it has been disclosed that the primary award given will be named for a legendary Jazz performer and licensed through that performer's foundation.
