Over the next May Bank Holiday weekend the Third “Norwich Jazz Party” with take place at the Holiday Inn at Norwich International Airport.Norwich, Norfolk, U.K.

The event will bring together twenty-nine top jazz musicians from both sides of the Atlantic who will provide over 26 hours of the best swinging jazz. The music will commence at 3pm on Saturday 2nd May and continue through until late in the evening of Monday 4th May.

The Smithsonian Museum wants Aretha Franklins Inauguration Day hat.

The Queen of Souls big-bowed headgear has been a hot property since the legendary singer belted America the Beautiful at Barack Obamas presidential inauguration on January 20, with the Los Angeles Times reporting that the hats designer, Luke Song, has been overwhelmed with demand for the $179 item. Ramblin' Jack Elliott Sings the Blues

Van Dyke Parks and Los Lobos' David Hidago lend a hand on storied songwriter Ramblin' Jack Elliott's second album this decade, A Stranger Here.
