In new Web names, .sky is the .limit

The group that oversees Internet addresses decides to let users coin their own dot-designations. In addition to the likes of .com and .net, the Internet might soon have Web addresses ending in .fun, .cars and .prettymuchanythingyouwant. Heralding the most dramatic expansion of virtual real estate in 40 years, the international group controlling Internet addresses decided Thursday to let anyone apply to be in charge of new last names for the Web. The ...

Journey's Youtube Lead Singer

Journey's Youtube Lead Singer

Source: All About Jazz

How Journey found Lead Singer Pineda is a Cinderella tale of the Internet era.

Ever since lead singer Steve Perry injured his hip in 1996, legendary '80s rock band Journey hasn't been the same. Singers Steve Augeri and Jeff Scott Soto tried filling Perry's big shoes (and tight jeans), but the band's success never reached its previous heights and Journey was relegated to a feel-good nostalgia act. Thirty-three years after its birth, Journey is getting a second wind from an ...

Fred's YouTube channel is programming for kids by kids

Last week, someone in the online video business gave me a simple tip.

“Fred," the guy said.

“Fred?" I said.

“Yes," he said. “Kids love Fred."

Chrysler will offer wireless Internet access in 2009 models

The struggling automaker's announcement comes shortly before California enacts a law that requires hands-free cellphone use while driving. Have you ever thought rush hour on the 405 Freeway might be more bearable if you could check your e-mail, shop for a book on Amazon, place some bids on EBay and maybe even, if nobody is looking, download a little porn? Then perhaps you should be driving a Chrysler. The nation's third-largest ...
