Following a complaint form Universal Music Group UK, Apple pulled down the recently approved Grooveshark iPhone app. The app had been receiving rave reviews, but Grooveshark only has licencing deals with EMI and a number of indies. Survey: Music Streaming Decreases Filesharing, Increases Music Discovery

A survey conducted in Norway this June for Aspiro Music concluded that streaming services lead to more music listening as well as and increased and more diverse music discovery. Of the those surveyed that use streaming music services 68% listen to more music and 72% say they often find music they didn`t know about before.
