Ladies and Gentlemen, Pandora is Now Profitable...
Source:
Digital Music News
Wall Street was mostly unimpressed, but by music industry standards, this is a moment. On Tuesday, Pandora revealed something remarkable: profitability, at least for a fleeting three months. During its quarterly wrap-up today, Pandora (P) reported a slim profit of $638,000, a reversal from a year-ago decline of $1.77 million.
The number translates into break-even on a per-share basis, and solidly beats a year-ago per-share loss of 15-cents. And, it was enough to beat analyst expectations, thanks to more-than-doubled revenues ...

Neil Cowley Trio - Radio Silence (2011)
Source:
Something Else!
As the poignant, expressive piano voice behind both of Adele's albums, Neil Cowley has a sound that seems immediately familiar. Yet he doesn't simply rely on that famous association to push along Radio Silence. As often as he performs with a similarly recognizable delightful grace (as on the title track and the Portal"), Cowley also displays this flinty sense of interplay with bassist Richard Sadler and drummer Evan Jenkins on this, their third recording together. They tear through the randy ...
