Jazz Night School Presents "Up-Beat Girls Jazz Camp"

The Jazz Night School is offering a special jazz camp for girls in grades 6-12. The “Up-Beat Girls Jazz Camp" is a week-long day camp that gives young musicians an opportunity to sharpen their improvisational skills and also gain experience playing in a jazz combo. Daily sessions include instruction in ear-training, theory, rhythm and jazz history as well as plenty of hands-on playing time. Columbus, OH—NAMM, the trade association of the international music products industry, announced that the Jazz Arts Group of Columbus (JAG) is one of 35 recipients worldwide to receive a NAMM Foundation Program Grant.
