Song Surgeon cPods Bring Unparalleled Portability To The Music Instruction, Lessons, and Learning Market Place

Todd, Michael & James, Inc. (TMJ) announced today that availability of cPods for its popular music learning and slow down software, Song Surgeon. cPods, short for “Cloud Pods" are roughly analogous to a Power Point, “Pack and Go" file. cPods contain all of the necessary files to run Song Surgeon on a Windows computer without the requirement of having Song Surgeon installed.

cPods provide unparalleled portability in two ways. Firstly, they enable non-Song Surgeon users to run an instance of to run an instance of Song Surgeon with all of the main functionalities of tempo and pitch change, looping, and markers fully intact. Secondly, cPods give Song Surgeon customers the ability to create a customized cPods for specific purposes that can be used by others.

Examples of cPod uses might include distributing a music lesson cPod among students in a class, band members using cPods to distribute and learn new material, or the creation of adjustable tempo and key backing tracks using a cPod. The potential uses are limited only by the imagination of users.

The creation of cPods has been built into the newest release of Song Surgeon. Initially the creation of cPods by Song Surgeon users will be available free of cost. At some future point, TMJ expects to charge for the creation of cPods, as it implements infrastructure to store, catalog, virus check and digitally sign cPod files.
