Earl Klugh Receives Key to the City of Niagara Falls

Grammy winning guitarist Earl Klugh received a Proclamation and Key to the City from Mayor Paul A. Dyster of Niagara Falls at the Seneca Niagara Casino during Earl Klugh's performance on October 15th. Earl's friend and Niagara Falls City Administrator Donna Owens presented him with the key and Mayoral Proclamation on stage. Each of Earl's band members also received a commemorative key to the city. Kresge Foundation Names Detroit Trumpeter Marcus Belgrave 2009 Eminent Artist

Master jazz trumpet player Marcus Belgrave -- who has enthralled audiences world-wide with his musical virtuosity and mentored scores of aspiring young musicians -- has been named the 2009 Kresge Eminent Artist by The Kresge Foundation.

The award and $50,000 prize recognizes Belgrave's lifelong musical achievements and his personal and professional contributions to music performance and education in Metropolitan Detroit. Jackson Earns American Music Awards Nod

Michael Jackson has a chance to win artist of the year posthumously at the American Music Awards. Country star Taylor Swift tops all artists with six nominations.

Fans will select winners by online voting. The awards will be televised Nov. 22 on ABC from Los Angeles.
