On May 18 the Terrace Bar of the House of Commons played host to the 2011 Parliamentary Jazz Awardsthe seventh such awards, sponsored by PPL. Hosted by broadcaster Paul Gambaccini, many MPs, peers and renowned jazz musicians were present on the night including Jamie Cullum, Dame Cleo Laine and Lord David Steel of Aikwood. The National Endowment for the Arts has announced a new grant category, Arts in Media, which will replace Arts on Radio and Television and expand the parameters of projects previously funded through that category.
