Hot Tuna Celebrates 50 years of friendship in Jamaica December 10-14

Hot Tuna

Hot Tuna have recently announced that they will be playing this December in Jamaica. The band will summon the spirits of their deceased old rock star friends and celebrate the anniversary of the festival that started it all - Woodstock.

Hot Tuna is Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady. Both from Washington, D.C., the two musicians have been playing together since grade school, long before their days in Jefferson Airplane, and they haven' stopped since. This year not only commemorates Woodstock' 40th, but also celebrates 50 years of music and friendship for Jorma and Jack. So, while an all-out Woodstock reunion show would be the ideal way to commemorate the festival's 40 years - that is simply impossible. Although, in the spirit of Woodstock and to commemorate a lifetime of music and friendship, Hot Tuna is cordially inviting their fans to join them for a four-day fest full of music, food, camaraderie and pure relaxation on the beautiful beaches of Jamaica.

Through their experiences, Jorma and Jack truly know and appreciate the value of an outstanding musical gathering. The friendships and memories made at a single show, or over the course of a festival, are priceless and this is why Hot Tuna is heading to Jamaica.

Hot Tuna is offering an inclusive Jamaica package which includes accommodations at the Grand Lido Negril Resort and Spa during December 10-14. The package includes several meet and greets, an autograph signing session with the band, a laid back Blues Brunch, a sunset drum circle and bonfire, in addition to several Hot Tuna concerts (both acoustic and electric). Drinks - including top-shelf liquor - and a wide variety of gourmet food are included in the package, in addition to several beach activities like scuba diving. Tickets run for $1,499 (airfare not included). Check Destination Concerts for more details. Tickets on sale NOW.
