Need another online method for being tracked? Google today announced the release of Latitude. Built into Google Maps for Mobile and iGoogle, the feature lets users share their locations.

The opt in feature offers up the user's rough location, placing their profile picture on a map accessible through a PC or mobile device. Once they've opted in, users can hide their locations from indivduals or the entire group at any time.

At present, the feature is available in 27 countries on a number of devices, including Android phones, Blackberries, Windows Mobile phones (5.0+), and Symbian S60s. iPhone compatible will follow soon.
