Gotham Wind Symphony
Gotham Wind Symphony, a NYC-based 45-piece wind band, has released their 3rd CD, their first on the ArtistShare label, entitled: New Year, New Music. The CD features five premier recordings, three of which were commissioned by GWS. The music:

Mike Holober- “Seven Gables"-Roam Poem #1 (premier, GWS commission)

Jonathan Newman- “Avenue X" (premier)

Bob Brookmeyer- “Ceremony"

Ned Rorem- “Traffic"

John Philip Sousa- “Ancient & Honorable Artillery Co."

John Hollenbeck- “eternal interlude" (premier, GWS commission)

Chen Yi- “Spring Festival" (premier)

Bill Finegan- “Deserted Ballroom" (premier)

James Chirillo- “March-to the Memory of Bill Finegan" (premier, GWS commission)
