Google Begins Indexing Facebook Pages

It took a while, but Google is now indexing Pages from Facebook, Google said today via a tweet on its official account.

Unlike individual profiles, Facebook Pages were designed for organizations, businesses, celebrities, and bands to provide updates. Now, those will be part of Google's real-time search results, which were first announced in December at its real-time search event.

Other social feeds Google said it would index include MySpace, FriendFeed, Jaiku and Identi.ca; most have taken a bit of time. Google began indexing MySpace, for example, just after Valentine's Day.

Google began indexing Twitter before the others, however, and the microblogging service still dominates Google's results today.
