After more than 20 years of critically-acclaimed success, Top 10 Billboard Jazz artist David Diggs collaborates with his daughter Rachel for their national record debut of Black Coffee on April 3, 2012.

Produced, arranged and orchestrated by David, the American Songbook album features two instrumental tracks “Just Ask" and “She Paints," performed by David as well. Additionally, Rachel transforms her poems into lyrics that are beautifully portrayed in the vibrant track “Spice of Life." The Gold Label father-and-daughter duo blends the hard-to-find classic jazz melodies with modern-day riffs resulting in an infectious ten-track record.

Recognized for her hit song “Hands of Time" (Center of the Earth; PBGL Label) featured on ABC Family's hit TV show Pretty Little Liars, Rachel became a world-wide sensation and is continuing to make her impact in the musical arena. With her rich, vocal quality and passionate delivery, the music and voice of Rachel immediately captivates the listener. An uprising vocalist, Rachel recently won a singer-songwriter contest sponsored by Atlantic Records and Pantene Pro-V, and was flown to New York to open for the award-winning artist Jewel in New York's Central Park. Additionally, Rachel has also been featured on various projects including Shannon McNally (Capitol Records), Doug Cameron, Mary Ekler, Ryan Dehues and more.

Her father, David, is best known for his melodic imagination and polished arranging and producing. Having made a mark on the scene with his highly celebrated release Streetshadows, which held its spot in the Top 10 on Billboard's Jazz Album Charts for 26 weeks, David has produced and arranged multiple GRAMMY ® nominated albums and has graced the stage at The Tonight Show and Midnight Special, Better Homes & Gardens' 90-minute television special and feature films.
