“Anders Westfall is a personal and true improviser and together with his band he has developed an original trio-ensemble playing characterized by openness and spontaneity"

Live At K2 is recorded live at Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2008. The music is a natural and organic flow with sturdy contrasts and an infectious enjoyment. The album consists in 10 original compositions full of small references and peculiar details.

He created this trio in spring 2007 for his master degree at Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. He picked out two of his favourite musicians, bassist Jasper Hoiby (Phronesis) and drummer Kalle Mathiesen (Kalles World Tour, Who Made Who). Together they combine control and savagery, and there's hardly a musical border that doesn't get blurred here, but it's the feeling of a band enjoying what they're doing that comes through strongest.
