Charlie Haden's Ocean of Diamonds Release Sept 23rd
Rosanne Cash, Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs are among the guests artists featured on an upcoming album by jazz bassist, Charlie Haden. Ocean of Diamonds will be released on Sept. 23 on Decca.
Additional guests include Russ Barenberg, Sam Bush, Elvis Costello, Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, Bela Fleck, Buddy Green, Bruce Hornsby, John Leventhal, Bryan Sutton and Dan Tyminski, as well as jazz guitarist Pat Metheny and actor Jack Black (who is Haden's son-in-law). Haden, a member of the original Ornette Coleman Quartet in the late 1950s, has also worked with John Coltrane, Archie Shepp and Keith Jarrett, among others.
