Butch Reed is a prime example of a talented musician who’s worked to hone his craft over time, and has all the attributes of an exceptional drummer," wrote musicologist Mark F. Turner, All About Jazz. This versatile and very in-demand player started playing drums as a child. He toured with John Blake, the Andrew Neu Group, the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz and Performing Arts and the Don Wilson Big Band. He’s also appeared at the Berks Jazz Festival, Trenton, and Bethlehem jazz festivals. His recent CD, 1st Time, received exceptional reviews and heavy airplay.

Jazz Bridge is dedicated to assisting professional Greater Philadelphia Metro area jazz and blues musicians and vocalists in times of crisis by providing confidential and caring support in keeping with their personal dignity.
