AAJ's Michael Ricci Listed on JazzTimes 2004 "Power Index"

Last Year's Power Index stirred up plenty of discussion within the jazz industry, much of it of the “Who the hell does JazzTimes think it is?" variety. We were merely trying to give the public a peek behind the curtain at who controls the jazz world of Oz. Instead, the Power Index angered some who didn't place and irritated many of those who did because they didn't believe their ranking was high enough.

The Power Index is based on informal roundtable discussions in the JT offices, based on experience, observation and conjecture. To any of you industry people who are sore because you weren't rated high enough, or weren't rated at all, we know how you feel: None of us are listed in the poll. Maybe next year we'll earn some self-respect.
