B.B. KING, KEITH JARRETT, AL JAREAY and DIANA KRALL are the brightest names in a real constellation of Jazz stars that you will be able to see at this Festival, the eldest in Europe.
The 35th anniversary of the eldest of the European Jazz Festivals (together with Antibes & Berlin) will bring together a genuine galaxy of Jazz stars in a splendid, varied, and highly entertaining program, with the presence of musicians and bands such as B.B. King, Keith Jarrett, Al Jarreau, Diana Krall, Marcus Miller, Mark Isham, David Murray, Kenny Barron, Vienna Art Orchestra and Uri Caine (with 7 different performances).
KEITH JARRETT CHOOSES SAN SEBASTIAN AS ONE OF HIS FIVE EUROPEAN CONCERTS
Sunday the 23rd of July looks like being, a priori, one of the most interesting days at the Festival. At 7 P.M. in the Auditorium in the Kursaal Centre, one of the legends of modern Jazz will be performing. He is a musician who is awaited and sought after by most festivals all over the world and who meticulously selects his rare live performances: pianist Keith Jarrett, in one of the only five European concerts hell be giving this summer, accompanied by bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Jack DeJohnette.
B.B. KING CLOSES THE FESTIVAL
The closing session in the Festival, on the 26th of July in the medieval Plaza de la Trinidad at 9 P.M., will once again feature the King of the Blues, B.B. King, in San Sebastian, the scene of some of his most talked-about live triumphs.
