The TD Toronto Jazz Festival is in its 26th year, kicking off its 10- day run on June 22 and wrapping up on Canada Day, July 1, 2012. This year, the city’s largest music festival welcomes music lovers to enjoy free concerts and workshops, late night jam sessions and some of the biggest names in jazz. Stages around the city will also welcome rising stars to Canada’s rich musical tapestry, expanding and enriching the country’s jazz scene at home and internationally.
The Festival is a celebration of straight-ahead jazz, jazz-influenced music, and jazz off-shoots and experimental projects, offering a taste of something for enthusiasts of all genres. With its main stage at Nathan Phillips Square, sounds of the Festival will reverberate throughout the city as more than 1,500 musicians perform close to 400 concerts at churches, bars, outdoor stages, the Distillery District, and many other venues.
Tickets are available online via Ticketmaster or by calling 1.855.985.5000. Tickets for Koerner Hall performances are available by calling 416.408.0208.
