16th Annual Children's Athletic Games & Family Fair Jazz Festival in Conjunction with the Cure Network Corp at Victoria Regional Park in Carson on April 24th

The Center for Community and Family Services, Inc. will sponsor its 16th Annual Children's Athletic Games & Family Fair. Opening ceremony begins promptly at 9:00am with the running of the torch into the stadium by former Olympic US Gold Medalist, Mark Crear, followed by the Parade of Athletes and presentations of Proclamations and commendations from State and Local politicians.

HOSTED BY: David Fralick (Star of the Young & the Restless) and Royce Reed Star of (Basket ball Wives Vh1) and Nautiga Delacruz (KJLH Radio),

Performance by six different Jazz Bands throughout America.

Celebrities Expected: Eddie Murphy Kids, Zola Murphy, Della Murphy, Doug E Fresh, Michael Colyar, Miguel Nunez, Jeremy Jackson, Carl Payne, Claudia Jordan, Cast of Basketball Wives and many others

The event, free to all who attend, will be a day-long celebration of events. Live entertainment throughout the day, will include celebrity performance, giveaway,Clowns, Magician, red carpet interviews with many celebrities, throughout the day, All news outlet such as Good Day LA, Good Morning America, Bet, and many others, will be coming in and out throughout the day to support this great cause.

The activities focused on strengthening families and promoting health and education. This year's event will include a host of free activities and services, such as health screenings and examinations, special needs assessments, as well as competitive sports activities to include track and field events, basketball, soccer, and much more. The children will receive T-shirts, medals and awards, and lunch, all completely free of charge.

The global community supports the event in many ways. In years past, the Honorary Committee has included Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald, KCAL 9's Pat Harvey and Dave Clark, Attorney Johnnie L. Cochran, Jr., Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante, Assemblyman Mervyn Dymally, Actor-Activist Edward James Olmos, and Compton Mayor Eric Perrodin. Others who have played active roles in the games include Vanessa Bell Calloway, and Olympic stars Carl Lewis and Steve Lewis serving as torch bearers during the opening ceremony.

Operating with a mission to support self-sufficiency for children and families with a commitment to building sustainable communities, CCFS is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization funded primarily through State and Federal dollars and has been committed to empowering at-risk families for more than 40 years, providing a myriad of support services to over 10,000 families in twenty-one cities in Los Angeles County. These services and programs include Early Childhood Development, Head Start, Affordable Housing, Training, and a wide range of support services.
