Neat and Tidy
Back in August we completed an effort to clean up our database. It was long overdue. We had thousands of deactivated records that were taking up space and our goal was to ensure our db remained squeaky clean and optimized moving forward. When all was said and done, the clean-up resulted in the removal of 207,641 records spanning 43 tables reducing the size of our database by 2%. Amazing, and it just goes to show you how massive AAJ is... we shed over 200,000 records and our database shrunk by only 2%. Still, it feels good to be neat and tidy.
Here are our totals as of October 10, 2023:
We recovered over 3,000 articles from our 2003 crash and are slowly adding them back to the database.
