Troker finds its center in sublime and dangerous explorations. A musical transition without labels, where jazz harmonies are mixed with rock, psychedelia, scratching, and the popular tradition of mariachi.
Since 2004 they have earned the respect of the public without becoming famous. Even so, they've enjoyed the most important stages of jazz, rock, and world music, recording a Tiny Desk Concert in 2018 and being the only band appearing on the official Glastonbury Festival lineup two years in a row.
Jazz, rock, and tequila is the easiest way to describe them.

"Crimen Sonora an album teeming with paradox, is dark yet fun, straight forward yet psychedelic and most importantly is a cohesive and balanced piece of art". DooBeeDooBeeDoo NY "The clearly insane have made a brilliant record. Put on this album and allow it to take you somewhere you've never been. I can guarantee that you have never heard an album like this". Glacially Musical "Some artist make their root conections more explicit than others, and some go further field. One of the biggest surprises to me at Womex this year was hearing the Mexican band Troker". Anastasia Tsicoulas/ NPR "The musically exceptional and energetic performance gained a standing ovation". Lent Festival (Slovenia) official web site "Muscular and brainy, this tight little band shows how to mine the culturally rich tradition of Mexican music and work it ingeniously into fusion jazz on Crimen Sonoro. Troker represents a new chapter in that tradition that should get more attention on either side of the Rio Grande". Something Else “To see them play live is a passionate experience, Troker go from the purest of jazz to total psychedelic music." The National Council for Culture and the Arts (Conaculta). “Troker want to prove that Mexico is much more than violence, drugs and extortion. Improvised numbers such as “Principe Charro” are the ideal cultural messengers.” Vienna Jazz Festival. “An unprecedented honour! Troker is the first band to play West Holts on two consecutive years. Another shot of their high-energy inventiveness and spark was impossible for us to resist”. Glastonbury Festival official website.
