Renowned for their explosive onstage energy, Troker are a hard-groove band that blend jazz, rock, funk and hip hop with a uniquely Mexican attitude. Brewed in the land of Tequila and toured across the world, Troker’s music is a powerful expression of contemporary Mexico. Their performance according to international press is: “noisy, chaotic, sprawling, messy, and altogether wonderful”, All About Jazz. The sextet started working their fusion in 2004; today they have three LP and one EP, all physical distributed in Mexico and world wide through digital platforms as iTunes, Spotify and a lot more. With 9 international tours through Europe, North and South America; Troker it’s the only band that has performed twice in consecutive years at the West Holts Stage in Glastonbury Festival. Touring in Mexico is vital so they have traveled more than half of their country. Drums, bass, saxophone, trumpet, keyboards and turntables, passes from light to darkness, density to fluency, reaffirming that jazz can be a boundless concept. Much more than just a group of musicians promoting records, Troker are concerned about their community and have worked with artists, filmmakers and advertisers. They actively support music education, participate economically in Mexico’s creative industries and are constantly supporting social initiatives.

Winner of the IMAS 2010 Award for Independent Mexican music: Best Jazz/Funk/Fusion Album.
