Tim Boniface
Cambridge (UK) based jazz multi-instrumentalist, teacher and composer. Mainstream stylist on tenor and alto saxes and piano; plays flugelhorn and guitar on some gigs and recordings. Also a priest in the Church of England and Chaplain at Girton College, University of Cambridge. Notable original works: jazz suites, The Eight Words (2016) and The Infant (2019). Recent collaborators (live and studio) include Polly Gibbons, James Pearson, Irene Serra, Sam Miles, Colin Oxley, Germana La Sorsa, Pete Horsfall, Tara Minton, Raphael Clarkson, Ed Babar, Jon Ormston. 20yr collaborative partnership based in Ashtead, Surrey, with drummer Tom Early, who runs Ashtead Jazz Club. Tim hosts 'The Sunday Sessions' at The Lab in Cambridge.
