Founded in 1964, the Victoria Conservatory of Music has enriched lives through music by fostering a thriving community of musicians and music lovers who celebrate the teaching, learning and performance of music at all levels.

Today, the VCM's highly respected and acclaimed faculty inspires over 1,200 students, as they learn an extensive variety of disciplines including piano, strings, brass, wind, voice, jazz, percussion, and composition and theory. And, through it's specialized Music Therapy program, the VCM provides the skillful use of music in enhancing the lives of those with specific needs.

The VCM is home to two fine performance halls, and proudly presents diverse and vibrant public performances ranging from classical to popular, early music to opera, and solo performances to theatre that the whole community can experience.

The Vision of the VCM is: To be a centre of excellence for music through education, performance and music therapy.

The Mission of the VCM is: To enrich lives through music as a thriving and sustainable regional centre of excellence, open and accessible to all who desire a meaningful connection with music.
