Philip Paul Miller was an English progressive rock/jazz guitarist who was part of the Canterbury scene.

Miller was born in Barnet, Hertfordshire. He was a member of the bands Delivery, Matching Mole, Hatfield and the North, National Health, Short Wave (with Hugh Hopper, Pip Pyle and Didier Malherbe), and worked in solo projects and in his band In Cahoots, which he founded in 1982 with Richard Sinclair, Elton Dean, Pete Lemer, and Pip Pyle.

In 2005 and 2006, Miller toured with the re-united Hatfield and the North.

Phil Miller and In Cahoots: Out of the Blue

Read "Out of the Blue" reviewed by Anthony Shaw

The latest of the long line of discs from English guitarist Phil Miller features the same musicians with whom he has now been in cahoots for over 10 years: Elton Dean on saxophones, Pete Lemer keyboards, Jim Dvorak trumpet, Pip Pyle on drums, Fred 'Thelonius/Sonny' Baker bass, and guesting on 2 tracks Doug Boyle on guitar. This time, 4 years after the release of Parallel also on Crescent Discs, they appear under both his name and In Cahoots performing a ...
