Professional drummer, educator, producer & author Pete(r) Magadini has played for several renowned musicians and artists including: Diana Ross, George Duke, Bobbie Gentry, Mose Allison, Sonny Stitt, Chet Baker, The Don Ellis Band plus the John Handy Quintet. He has also performed as a percussionist with the Berkshire Music Festival Orchestra at Tanglewood, Toronto Symphony Orchestra (Massey Hall) and the Fromm Festival of Contemporary Music (Tanglewood) w. final performance in Carnegie Hall. Included in the mix are several major shows including – the Montreal run of “Les Miserables” and the Toronto run of “Ain’t Misbehavin”. As a studio musician in both the US and Canada Peter has played on a mix of recordings and was the drummer for the Diana Ross, Los Angeles, tv special + album “Diana”. He has five recordings with his own bands and was the producer of Mose Allison’s final 2015 album release: “Mose Allison American Legend Live in California” in which the magazine “Mother Jones” reviewed and listed it in their top ten (of all) releases for 2015.
