Paul Jordanous

Paul has been peprforming Jazz for over 8 years, starting when he took the position of Jazz soloist and later Lead trumpet at Kingston Youth Big Band, under the stewardship of conductor Chris Higgins. With this band, he has toured throughout Germany, Italy, Austria, Holland, Spain and Czech Republic.

At 16 he joined Richmond College,where he learned the essential guidelines to performing in a small Jazz group through acclaimed guitarist Mo Nazam.

The next step was through Reading University, where Paul graduated reading Music in 2005, having helped co- found the jazz group Blue Roosters, and joining the internationally acclaimed Pendulm Jazz Orchestra. Through Pendulum, Paul has performed with many of the leading British Jazz musicians of this generation, including Mike Bradley, Mornington Lockett, Lauerence Cottle, Ian Thomas, Guy Barker, Pete Churchill, Steve Waterman, Henry Lowther, Tina May, Nikki Illes, Julian Siegl and Ben Castle, to name a few. 2008 will see Paul perform at Brecon Jazz festival with Pendulum Jazz Orchestra for the 5th straight year!

In 2006, Paul became involved with the Pendulum Quartet, featuring Clark Tracey, Andy Crowdy and Pete Billington, where he has performed alongside internationally revered guests including Peter King, Don Weller, Alan Barnes and Zoe Rahman.

He is currently a member of the Bob Barter Jazz Quintet, performing with Jimmy Hastings (Tenor Sax/ Flute), Bob Barter (Piano), Roy Babbington or Paul Morgan (Double Bass) Roger Kerr (Drums). Vocalists include Jenny Howe and Emer Mcparland.

In 2007 Paul was invited to join the Bobby Worth Quintet featuring Bobby Worth (Drums), Simon Allen (Tenor/ Alto), Paul Morgan (Double Bass) and John Pearce or Robin Aspland (Piano).

Paul will be performing in the New Clark Tracey Sextet, featuring Piers Green (Alto Sax), Lewis Wright (Vibes), Kit Downes (Piano), Ryan Trebilcock (Bass) and Clark Tracey (Drums).

Current project, The Paul jordanous Ensemble, performs original compositions by Paul Jordanous, the Debut Album will be available Winter 2011. Featuring,
