Neil Mattson

Neil Mattson is local jazz and post-modern composer-guitarist residing in Portland OR. Neil was a featured composer for the Portland Jazz Composers Ensemble’s 2012-13 season. His band, Trio Flux, fuses elements of free jazz and psychedelic rock to the delight of audiences across a wide spectrum of listening tastes. Neil’s solo guitar work is ambient, dreamy, and spacious. It can soothe and excite in its non-traditional use of space and texture.
