Dave Moss

Dave Moss, originally from The San Francisco Bay Area, is an electric and double bassist who lived in New York City for 13 years but then relocated to Kyoto, Japan in January, 2016. During his time in New York City he performed and collaborated with a host of prominent jazz artists, such as:  William Parker, Charnette Moffett, Eric McPherson, Aaron Scott, Daniel Carter, Demian Richardson and Ferenc Nemeth to name a few.  One of the biggest moments for Moss though, was meeting his long-time hero, Ornette Coleman. This introduction led to 8 years of deeply transformational meetings and sessions.  Currently, Dave Moss has several projects he’s working on, which also include remote collaboration between New York and Kyoto, with groups such as:  The Missing Ones and Platypus Revenge.
