George Preston Herrett
Dave George hails from Virginia and had played all over the East Coast since the early 1990's. With roots in the blues and classic & prog rock music, Dave soon discovered jazz and improvisation and "ain't been right since". He was doing studio work in the Washington, DC area before relocating to NC.
Brian Preston has been a fixture on the North Carolina progressive music scene for nearly three decades, delivering signature basslines for numerous groups. His Metaphoric Music label has produced recordings from the likes of Smokin' Granny, Onomata, Freehand, and Kinetic Union Jazz Orchestra.
Darren Herrett attended Percussion Institute of Technology (PIT) before getting a degree in electronics. He has played drums in many different settings, from gospel, musicals & country-rock to hard rock and free-improv. Darren is an in-demand session drummer across the Carolinas.
Together as GPH, they create dynamic textures with an emphasis on improvisation and the out-of-the-ordinary.
