Francesco Rapinesi

 Francesco Rapinesi  –Born in L'Aquila in 1986, he began studying music at age 14 with the electric bass.

At 16, he began studying jazz and classical double bass.

 He graduated in classical double bass in 2011 and jazz double bass in 2016, and has always combined his jazz studies with academic studies.

 He made his professional debut at age 22 alongside Irio De Paula.

 He has attended and participated in improvisation workshops led by Dave Holland, Enrico Pieranunzi, Jeff Berlin, Paolino Dalla Porta, Buster Williams, and Christian Galvez.

 With a degree in jazz harmony, he also dedicates himself to composition and arrangement.

 He has performed under the direction of Bruno Tommaso.

 In 2014, he won a scholarship to Nuoro Jazz as best double bass player.

 In the classical field, he has collaborated with the Marrucino Theater Orchestra, the Abruzzese Symphony Orchestra, and the Youth Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia.

 He has performed under the direction of Maestros Donato Renzetti, Raffaele Napoli, Carlo Rizzari, and José Maria Sciutto.

 He has played with Irio De Paula, Robertinho De Paula, Francesco Cafiso, Massimo Manzi, Bob Ferrazza, Angelo Canelli, Marcello Di Leonardo, Alberto Biondi, and many others.

 He has performed in numerous jam sessions with Stefano Di Battista, Roberto Gatto, Nico Gori, Gegè Munari, Francesco Diodati, Stefano Di Grigoli, Marco Valeri, Claudio Colasazza, Valeria Rinaldi, and Daniele Gorgone.

 He has taught classical double bass at the Rieti Music High School and the Farnesina Music High School in Rome, and electric bass at the Icarus School in L'Aquila and the "L'Isola dell'Arte" school in Rome.

 His album "Dediche" (Splasc(h) Records) has been reviewed by Jazz IT, Il Manifesto, and the Rai Radio Tre Battiti radio show.
