Eleonora Kouneni is a London-based jazz vocalist and songwriter known for her contemporary and emotive jazz vocal style and unique original compositions. She launched her musical career in Athens, opening for legendary Greek vocalists Maria Farantouri and Savina Yannatou at the 16th Greek Anti-Racism Festival, before relocating to London and establishing herself in the city’s jazz scene.

She since relocated to London quickly establishing herself in the London jazz scene, performing at various London bars and venues, including the Green Note and Vortex Jazz Club. She has also performed in the US, including at Pangea in New York City, and most recently a sold-out set at Monks Jazz Club in Austin, alongside renowned musicians from the US jazz scene.

Her independently released debut EP If You Just…, introduced her songwriting to international audiences, with its lead single reaching over 2.5 million streams across 170 countries and drawing over 36,000 monthly listeners. This global reach helped pave the way for several London shows, including sold-out shows at the Green Note Basement, a showcase in New York City, and a recent sold-out headline show at the Monks Jazz Club in Austin, TX, with some of the best musicians in town, which was also livestreamed internationally.

Her new jazz EP This Eager Heart, a collaboration with pianist Chris Lee, will be released on March 20, 2026, under the G2 Records & Publishing label and will be launched live at Pizza Express Live, Chelsea (The Pheasantry) on March 25, 2026.

Eleonora's first recorded take on the Great American Songbook, this EP forms a four‑chapter emotional narrative of memory, love and surrender, told through standards born nearly a century ago. Curated for the way they trace the quiet shifts of longing, these songs have travelled through oceans, eras and iconic voices, still carrying the same emotional truths. Eleonora steps into that lineage of interpreters to show that the emotional architecture of love hasn’t changed — only the rooms we sing it in.

She draws inspiration from the classic ladies of Jazz, such as Ella, Billie and Sarah, as well as contemporary New York-based vocalists such as Samara Joy, Lucy Wijnands, Kate Kortum and Tyreek McDole, who have raised her standards in term so what you can do with the Great American Songbook.
