William Schwartzman

William Schwartzman is a jazz pianist and composer currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in jazz performance at The Juilliard School, where he is expected to graduate in 2027, and a graduate of the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Having studied under pianists Ted Rosenthal, Taylor Eigsti and the late Mike Lang, William has had the privilege of performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, the Montreal Jazz Festival, Moers Festival, Jazz on the Oder Festival, and the Monterey Jazz Festival. Inspired by a wide range of pianists from Art Tatum to Brad Mehldau, his study of jazz has already earned him multiple DownBeat Student Music Awards and the Grand Prize in the Music Center’s Spotlight competition. He is a member of Gerald Clayton’s Next Generation Jazz Orchestra and Sean Jones’s NYO (National Youth Orchestra) Jazz ensemble, and has shared the stage with renowned jazz musicians such as Wynton Marsalis, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Patrick Bartley. He hopes to use music to share his dreams for how our world could be.
