Bruno Miranda

Bruno Miranda is a Brazilian-American pianist, composer, and producer whose instrumental voice draws from classical training, jazz improvisation, and the gospel tradition. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Miranda earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee College of Music and a Master of Science in Music Technology from Indiana University. His 2026 album Providence — produced by Latin Grammy Award-winning engineer Carlson Barros — is his most complete solo jazz statement: a ten-movement work tracing a musical and geographical arc through New England, Brazil, and Africa in the contemporary smooth jazz tradition.

A two-time Latin Grammy Award nominee, Miranda received his first nomination at the 16th Annual Latin Grammy Awards as mixing engineer for multi-Grammy winner José Valentino's I Make You Want to Move (Best Latin Jazz Album), and his second at the 17th Annual Latin Grammy Awards for his own album Mosaico (Best Instrumental Album). He is a five-time Global Music Award winner, recipient of the Global Genius Platinum Award for his 2019 performance on Live at Paris Recording Studios with José Valentino and Jesse Pitts, and an Anthem Award winner from the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. His catalog includes Chapter II (2017), His Presence (2018) and His Power (2020) — both featuring Valentino — and Embarkation: The Resiliency of Humanity Amid COVID-19 (2021).

For more than 21 years Miranda served as Music Director to the late worship leader Ron Kenoly, performing across 25 nations on every inhabited continent. The sustained experience of performing in arenas, amphitheaters, and concert halls across six continents shaped his compositional voice — an instrumental language that is simultaneously rooted and restless, harmonically deliberate and emotionally direct. His 2026 singles Departure (featuring José Valentino on flute), South Station, and Boston Trip preceded the Providence full-length, which released August 20, 2026.

Miranda holds a faculty appointment at Liberty University and is completing doctoral studies in music. His work as an educator and theorist informs the compositional rigor of Providence, organized as ten discrete movements — each carrying its own geographic identity — building toward the title track as the album's harmonic and emotional resolution.
