Milad Khawam
At a very young age Khawam became principal trumpet player in many Orchestras such as; Syrian Children Orchestra, Orchestra Solhi Al-Wadi Institute, then at the National Orchestra of Arabic Music, Syrian National Symphony Orchestra.
Khawam appeared in a number of concerts and festivals between EU & ME such as Baalbeck Festival, Ehmej Festival, Morgenland-fest, Fusion festival, CTM-Festival, Xjazz festival, Jazzaar global ensemble and shared the stage with drummer Billy Cobham.
The Haus der kulturen der welt in Berlin invited Khawam and the American author Josh Kun to interpret the work "To The West" that was composed during Khawam’s journey from Damascus to Germany in 2015 in a lecture performance with TO THE WEST ensemble during the program "Archive of Refuge”.
As a producers he was commissioned to create music for many different project such as "Wir machen das" (radio podcast), Arabic pop songs for different signers and commissioned to compose and perform a music piece related to an object from the Abbasid Era called Aquamanile located at the Museum of Islamic Art in collaboration with Piranha records.
