Rooted in Halifax’s vibrant jazz community, the Leo Cox Trio brings a groove-forward sound shaped by a new generation.

Featuring Leo Cox on bass, Ben Tucker on guitar, and Dante Kierstead on drums, the trio mixes tight musicianship with the open, anything-can-happen energy of today’s jazz. Their sets move fluidly from post-bop to funk and cinematic fusion — always grounded in feel and driven by instinct.

Their weekly Tuesday Night Jazz residency at The Economy Shoe Shop has become a downtown staple, known for evolving sets, originals, and spontaneous sit-ins with local artists.
