Jose Luis Castro
I am a musician, producer, sound designer and composer for video games, film and television. I was born in Mexico City. At an early age I learned to play guitar on my own and a couple of years later I started taking music theory and performance classes with the maestro Roberto Méndez.
In 2012 I continued my theoretical and practical studies in Pasadena, California where I was a student of virtuoso guitarist Uros Raskovski and legendary vocalist Oren Waters, who has sung on records such as Muse's The 2nd Law and Michael Jackson's Thriller.
In 2013 I continued my studies at Berklee College of Music in the city of Boston. Focusing on arrangement, composition, production and sound design.
In 2017 I moved back to Los Angeles where I worked for producers like Chris Hanebutt. I then proceeded tocompose music for Fine Tune Music whose catalog appears on ABC, BBC, CBS, Fox, NBC, National Geographic, A&E, Vh1 and MTV.
I am currently in Mexico City where I compose music for multiple video game developers, animations, and marketing campaigns.
