Jonas Shofler

Jonas Shofler is a jazz saxophonist, composer, and arranger based in Boulder, Colorado. He leads the Jonas Shofler Quartet, known for delivering lively and versatile performances. The quartet's repertoire spans a wide range of jazz styles, allowing them to adapt their performances to be either energetic and prominent or subtle and ambient, depending on the occasion.

In addition to his live performances, Shofler has shared his music through various platforms, showcasing his skills as both a performer and composer. He also maintains a presence on social media, where he shares insights into his musical journey and engages with his audience.

Shofler pursued formal studies in jazz at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he majored in Jazz Studies with a focus on tenor saxophone. During his time at CU Boulder's Thompson Jazz Studies Program, he actively engaged in the university's music community. He has studied with, performed alongside, and collaborated with talented musicians, including Brad Goode, John Gunther, Paul McKee, Victor Mestas, and Paul Romaine.

Shofler's dedication to his craft and his active participation in the Boulder jazz scene have established him as a notable figure in the local music community. His ability to blend traditional jazz elements with contemporary influences allows him to connect with a diverse audience, making his performances both engaging and memorable.
