John Larson

John Larson has been involved with performing, teaching and promoting Jazz for 40 years in the Midwest. He has influenced and guided 100's of young drummers towards learning and appreciating the art of jazz and jazz drumming. Amonst his most notable students are internationally acclaimed drummer Matt Wilson, and Jason Brannon, former standout at the Berklee School of Music. John is father to the up and coming tenor saxophonist Adam Larson, now at the Manhattan School of Music. He currently hosts a blog on jazz drumming education at www.johnsdrumthrone.blogspot.com.
