Guitari Baro

Guitari Baro is a new, instrumental trio from Guinea and Mali, formed by guitarists Gaoussou Kouyaté and Kerfala Diabaté and master balafonist Lassana Diabaté. The name means "Guitar Conversations," referring to the group's blend of Mande griot musical traditions with influences from jazz, Congolese rumba, and more to create a unique, genre-defying sound. Their self-titled debut album, Guitari Baro, was released on September 26, 2025, as the first release from the new Chrysalis Global imprint, with a European tour planned for 2026.
