Greg Arney

When Greg was 10, he asked his father to teach him to play the guitar. His father said, "If you start playing now, when you grow up, people will love you." He imagined what it would be like to be gawked at and admired because of such a skill, and decided he didn't want to learn. It would be nearly a decade before he was to reconsider.

Music continued searching for him until finally, seven years later, he discovered an acoustic guitar in the attic. Greg became obsessed with discovering all of the sounds that it could make. He listened to and imitated many recordings, including blues, jazz, funk, Latin, flamenco, celtic and Japanese popular music.

Greg currently lives in Boston, MA where he is involved in the thriving music scene. He spends all of his time on music: playing, writing, performing and teaching.
