Here's some exciting news about a new academic opportunity for young musicians in Canada and the northwestern U.S.. When the new school year starts in 2011, Western Canada will have its first post- secondary degree program combining jazz and contemporary popular music. Edmonton's Grant MacEwan University is expanding its music school to include a Bachelor of Music in Jazz & Contemporary Popular Music.
