Candice Ivory is more than a little ambitious to conceive and execute an album comprised wholly of material by blues icon Memphis Minnie. The instrumental trio of guitarist Joe Restivo, organist Al Gamble and drummer George Sluppick first came together as the City Champs in 2007.
