Geoff Hazelrigg

Played a number of instruments from an early age, finally settling on electric and double bass. Started playing bass in high school, studying with Reggie Washington. Attended University of the Arts in Philadelphia and earned Bachelor Degree in Jazz. Along the way studied with well-known artists like Edward Simon, Gerald Veasley, and Gary Grainger.

Performed with: Bryan Ferry, Maysa Leak, Tony C. and the Truth, Don Felder, Autre Ne Veut.

Produced recordings with/for: Tina Chancey, Gavin Black/George Hazelrigg, Bona Fide, Atlantic Records, Universal, N2K, Downtown Records, NBC, TBS.

Current project: Hazelrigg Brothers with brother pianist George. Also co-owns Hazelrigg Industries: hand-built microphone preamps.

jny: Philadelphia leaves such deep and wide fingerprints on guitarist Larry Tamanini's Front and Center that he could list the city in its credits.
