Composer, Publisher, Trumpeter and Leader of the band, Spooky Kool, Your Friend in the Spiritual Age, where you can experience the best in “Head Boppin’ Jazz,” and performing as Gabriel Bey and Friends.
Gabriel performs with many different artists, but his joy comes from performing with the many different area Jazz Bands; like the SMCC Latin Jazz Band, Scottsdale Jazz Band, and the South Mountain Community Fat Jazz Band.
Additionally, Gabriel serves on the Music Advisory Committee for Scottsdale Community College and Manages KingdomworK Recording Studio. He is a member of NAMM; Eliances; and the American Federation of Musicians, Local 586 where he serves as a Trustee, Chairs the Outreach Committee, and is a Host on Radio 586 AZ Roots and KRDP 90.7 FM.
Gabriel also manages up and coming artists as part of his Artists Development for uplifting underserved artists. Currently the list includes: Geo Bowman, Calmulet, Something Funky, Glenville Slim, Fahrbach Strings, Tyrone Johnson, and Moore’s Code.
Recently Gabriel has become a member of the Arizona Presenter’s Alliance and has presented an International Jazz Day Concert in partnership with Artlink Inc, a Juneteenth Concert and Labor Day Concert in partnership with Phoenix Center for the Arts and provided bands for The Herberger Theater Center’s Pop-Up Concerts and their Festival for the Arts; the City of Glendale Libraries’ Books and Blues Series, Local First Arizona Fest, and the Phoenix Center for the Arts’ Festival of the Arts.
Gabriel is working towards his vision for the Valley, which is to see it become a destination for Arts and Culture, and to establish the Valley as the center for growth, economic opportunities, and elevating the resident’s quality of life, particularly in the arena of Music and Film.
