Fog Light
Fog Light is an instrumental rock trio from Finland. The band draws its influences from the surrounding world and strives to experiment with their instruments. Musical inspirations include vast array of bands and artists including 70’s proge greats like Yes, Rush and King Crimson. Also fusion jazz style is clearly present in their music. One can hear Allan Holdsworth, Tony MacAlpine, Tony Williams and such in Fog Light’s music.
The newest effort ”Abstract” features keyboards. This brings some new level for the overall sound and songs. Plenty of solos are present for each instrument while keeping the attention to song structures. Eight different tracks of fusion rock is now released and there are plans for the live activity too.

As on the previous album, the music of this “power” trio remains exciting, sought after, despite this feeling of minimalism, because they are limited to the instrument level, but we will admit that they go all out in search of the limits of what they can do with their hardware store. Musicians who master their instruments, who give a more than honorable performance. In terms of percussion, the energy is there, without too much downtime, and as for the bass, the game is varied and often innovative as on the last album. Compositions more advanced than on the previous one, with escapades in new territories, I see a clear progression that must be welcomed
