Farang Big Band
Farang Big Band is an independent jazz orchestra based in Tehran, Iran, founded in 2024 by conductor Saeed Mohammadali.
The ensemble brings together a diverse group of musicians committed to the traditions of big band jazz while exploring contemporary jazz, funk, Latin, and swing influences.
Farang Big Band made its public debut in 2024 and has since performed in notable venues such as the Iran Music Museum, Iran Mall, and at the International Jazz Day Festival in Tehran. The group has quickly gained attention for its dynamic arrangements, energetic performances, and commitment to artistic independence.
