Danica Hobden's Warmbluetig

Warmbluetig (Warm-blooded), led by Australian guitarist and composer has firmly rooted itself in the northern German jazz scene over the past 3 years, bringing together important voices of the Hamburg and Berlin Jazz scenes. Inspired by the dark charm of Australian jazz mixed with new European influences, Warmbluetig in a name is a tribute to the warmth, depth and volatile nature of the human spirit.

The band has performed at numerous festivals in Hamburg and North Germany including ELBJAZZ 2024, JazzHall Summer Festival 2024, a JazzTied Television Production, ongoing collaboration with the Hamburger Kammerballett and acclaimed drummer Will Guthrie (FR/AUS). Warmbluetig released their debut album on vinyl in 2024, as part of a larger collaborative project between Sydney-based and Hamburg-based musicians, and a Live EP featuring Will Guthrie in 2025.

Australian guitarist and composer Danica Hobden splits her time between her native land and Germany. In both countries she has surrounded herself with like minded musicians, which has resulted in two very distinct yet harmonious versions of her quartet, Warmbluetig.
