A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, tenor saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings (King Shabaka), synths maven Dan Leavers (Danalogue) and drummer Max Hallett (Betamax) were students at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama. One of the strengths of the alternative jazz scene which has grown in London since around 2016 is the interconnectivity of its players.
